Maui County has awarded grants totaling $380,000 to 3 nonprofit groups for culture and the arts, SCUBA diving technologies and sister metropolis business group partnerships.
“These grants replicate investments in diversifying Maui County’s economy,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “Supporting creative industries, new technology growth and selling global commerce are easy and successful ways to lessen our over-reliance on the hospitality market for economic wellbeing.”
The grants:
- Maui Arts & Cultural Heart, $318,000: To help the arts and other companies – from community rentals to the MACC’s once-a-year general performance period. With the reopening of its amenities to in-human being gatherings, the MACC has higher capability to develop new work opportunities for artists and application assistance team.
- Avelo Labs, $60,000: For enhancement and commercialization of Maui-based hydraulic-driven buoyancy management SCUBA diving engineering. Avelo’s technology will make SCUBA diving simpler and extra available for the community.
- Maui County Sister Cities Basis, $10,000: To help Maui County’s sister city relationships. The grant aims to build tele-exchange careers for Maui County people and showcase nearby items and products and services that can be delivered to world wide consumers.
